It’s been a while…

…almost a year, but I’ve been cooking

It was May 2023 when my friends and I decided to send a pitch video to Storyhive Voices 2.0. This competition was to receive a grant to produce a TV series under Telus. A month and a half later, we received the news that we were one of the special recipients and since then this project has consumed my life. So much so that I neglected this blog for a while, it became hard to keep up with the blog when every day I sat down in front of my laptop and script writing held the priority of blog writing.

Script writing led to location scouting, then that led to talent scouting, then that led to script revisions, then that led to filming, and dreadfully it led to editing which has consumed most of my life for the past year more so than Elden Ring did when I first played it.

There were numerous hours of sitting on my computer and looking at Davinci Resolve. Whenever I couldn’t figure out anything I’d go to youtube, tiktok, reddit for any info on how to fix my episode. How can I squish so much good content into a 15 minute episode? It was too tough, it had to be 20 mins…that made it many more hours to edit. It’s an exhausting process

Currently I’m working on the last episode of the series for Eating Edmonton. It’s going to be a banger, like all the other episodes. Everything will be on youtube and Telus TV during the summer, and if you want join our journey look for our Instagram and enjoy our show.
