Pizza Casserole

Was in Chicago back in the end of 2019. Apparently had to try the deep dish and the most famous and the one closest to our hotel was Giordano’s.

Boy was I disappointed though. Not only did it take forever to make, almost 45 minutes...It was just a casserole of cheese and sauce. The crust was soggy from all the sauce, and the cheese weighed down the thin layer of crust. The toppings were overpowered by the sauce as well and the only good thing about this pizza was that it was filling, I was starving off my flight and hated waiting so long for this. Like was deep dish supposed to imply it was stuffed as well? Cause stuffed pizza is much better imo. The deep dish is largely known to have more sauce and less cheese which sounded good on paper but not in my mouf. Lesson learned though. No more Giordano’s when I go back. Overhyped deep dish.
